How is it possible to fall in love at the moment your eyes meet? Although I know that we cannot be together, I am determined to see her again....... 

The story begins just like any other day. Jared & I have a routine meeting set up with an organization called "Operation Ava". It is a no kill shelter located in Northern Liberties. We were only there a few minutes, when my eyes locked with "STELLA"! At that very moment, I fell in love. She put her paw up on the glass as if she was giving me a high five. Her head tilted as far as it would go as I was talking to her. She spoke to me with her eyes... she was happy to have a visitor. Just a happy girl! Little did I know that this "Happy Girl" was special and I didn't even know it yet...... 

I would like you to meet "STELLA" ! 

Stella is an eleven month old beagle with Bi-Lateral Patellar Luxation, her knee caps are misplaced. She cannot walk properly or straighten her back legs. She has an amazing personality and so the rescue coordinator at Operation Ava brought her from an overburdened animal shelter in the South to Operation Ava, a Philly no-kill, non-profit animal rescue. Operation Ava launched a campaign to raise money for Stella to have a surgery, this is the first part of her journey...
