Leonard Weaver: Michael Vick Will Get It Done

Philadelphia News, Weather and Sports from WTXF FOX 29

The Philadelphia Eagles’ Leonard Weaver talks with us on location at a local pet hotel, and also talks about the rematch with the Green Bay Packers.

Weaver suffered a serious injury in the season opener against Green Bay, which the Eagles lost.

Weaver says he likes the Eagles’ chances.

There are a number for key components. I believe that Michael Vick controls the game, not only with his legs but with his arm

“A lot of people are saying ‘Michael can’t throw the ball accurately, Michael needs to stay in the pocket,’ but he needs to take over, he takes over the game, when he needs to run, he runs,” Weaver said.

Weaver also said the Eagles’ defense can handle the Packer’s Aaron Rodgers, but the Eagles need focus on one player: Clay Matthews.

“We have to deal with Clay Matthews at all times. He is a dynamic force to reckon with on the field.”

“It can’t be a revenge game in some senses but it will be for a lot of players,” Weaver said.

“I think these [young] guys will make a difference. LeSean McCoy is having a great year. It’s playoff time. It’s either win or go home. … I think these guys we have will make it happen.”
